We specialize in helping children, teens, and families in Toronto and the GTA improve their social skills, emotional regulation, and self-esteem. Our services include group programs, workshops, and individual or family therapy. We take a family-centered and evidence-based approach, using practical methods to support overall development.
In Child Therapy, we have the skills to assess your child from different perspectives to determine better how best to support your child.
In Youth Therapy, we can help youth and their families to solve their problems, and develop skills to prevent the challenges from getting bigger.
Through Adult Individual counseling, you receive support and guidance to overcome challenging times and boost your life's quality.

BSBF offers government-funded counseling services at no cost for refugees within the first year of their arrival to Canada. These services are private and confidential.

Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
Lia Khalili is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has a master's in psychology and a bachelor's in speech therapy and has practiced individual and family therapy for over 15 years.
Registered Psychologist
With over 20 years of experience in clinical and academic settings, Dr. Hadi Bahiraei is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. He has provided psychological treatment to adults and families since 1996.

If you make an appointment for yourself, you are welcome to start to share your story, talk about your goals and expectations at the initial session.
If you make an appointment for your child, the first session is usually arranged with both or one of the parents virtually. During this session, the required information will be gathered and a therapy plan will be discussed at the of the session. In some cases, Lia Khalili, our child psychotherapist, may ask you to arrange an in-person session and bring your child for the first session, so she can observe and make a better treatment plan for her/him.
Yes, your extended health care benefits plan may fully or partially cover the service fees. Please check your benefits plan, under ‘counseling services, for information regarding coverage for services provided by a "registered psychotherapist" or “registered social worker” or “registered psychologist". You will be provided with an invoice to submit to your insurance company.
You don't need a referral from a doctor.
